Final Texteo, by Nicola Persky

Nicola, one of Professor Juhasz's LFYT students, discusses the absence of tangibility and personal ownership within YouTube. Filmed with a Mac's built in camera (isight) within the application "Photobooth," Nicola's video replicates the standard and unimpressive video quality inherent to most YouTube videos. Her "Photobooth" pre-set backgrounds (an aquarium and outer-space) remind the viewer to examine the difference between reality and representation. Nicola argues that YouTube users do not feel responsible for their actions or uploads on Youtube because they do not own their videos.
