This texteo was made by Shane Davis as his final for 2010 LFYT.
Contextualization
These three videos are by Dude Perfect, a group of college students who became famous on YouTube for their trick basketball shots. They have since become paid to advertise on their videos and are sponsored by GMC.

The first video is before they had any endorsements. The second is an actual television commercial by GMC featuring the group. Their most recent video is not a GMC commercial but it does feature the same type of GMC truck as used in the second video as product placement. Note that the last video also features much higher video quality, production values, and elaborate trick shots.

Dude Perfect, much like other YouTube stars, have gained great commercial success through their popularity on YouTube. Companies have tried to incorporate their advertising into YouTube and appeal to the YouTube audience as a whole by hiring YouTube stars to promote their products. This is an example of YouTube driving commercial strategies for many major corporations.
