Google's immense supremacy and strength provide enough power to make YouTube a more dominate media outlet for the news. News Near You is only part of YouTube's push into news video. The company invited more than 25,000 news sources listed on Google News to become video suppliers. The site is also promoting videos from ABC News, The Associated Press, Reuters and other outlets, promising a wider audience for their material.[cit]
YouTube provides a unique space where news of events, big or small, anywhere in the world can be accessed in seconds.
The line that television, newspaper, radio and other media outlets draw between large corporate news operations, smaller local news outlets, and private non-profit news organizations is erased as all are welcome and combined in this space.
In true YouTube fashion, users can make The News more entertaining. Although the news anchors sometimes do that for us.
