Origins of this content
This video was made for the 2010 LFYT class as a research project responding to ideas raised in The YouTube Reader, by Snickars and Vonderau. It was made by a group and posted by zbrunn.
Contextualization
Autobiographical practices are as old as the media themselves. Media artists and the avant-garde make "diary films" (attending to form and craft as well as self), every day users make "home video" (where the politics of the family may be as visible as are amateur techniques). Vblogs continue these confessional, artistic, consumer, and familial practices with technologies that have made production and distribution even more accessible.

"I am making a video EVERY DAY of my 29th year of life. You are welcome to join us. Just make sure you take your shoes off when you come inside!"[cit]
