In the Fall 2008 class I organized a contest for students to make videos about "The Future of Writing." I would incorporate the best assignments into a public talk I was giving at the
Future of Writing Conference at the University of California, Irvine, November 6-7, 2008. Winning students would receive extra credit.
Change is occurring in teaching and scholarly writing within the
humanities. Often called the
Digital humanities," this work occurs "at the intersection of the Humanities, computing and other emerging digital technologies."
