I chose this real example of Barack Obama's weekly national address via YouTube as an example of contemporary political media that is in conversation with "productive fake documentary on YouTube" for my
FakeTube Project. I later blogged,
spoke, and
published on it (and other fake videos) as promised.
"'Yes We Did' is a slide show of 'Strategic Insights from the campaign that redefined modern politics.'"

New York Times: "Like a lot of Web innovators, the Obama campaign did not invent anything completely new. Instead, by bolting together social networking applications under the banner of a movement, they created an unforeseen force to raise money, organize locally, fight smear campaigns and get out the vote that helped them topple the Clinton machine and then John McCain and the Republicans."

From the White House briefing room: "President Barack Obama intends to publish a weekly video address every Saturday morning of his presidency."
