Author
Wendy Chun is an associate professor of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University. She has studied both Systems Design Engineering and English Literature, which she combines and mutates in her current work on digital media. She is author of _Control and Freedom: Power and Paranoia in the Age of Fiber Optics_ (MIT, 2006), and co-editor (with Thomas Keenan) of _New Media, Old Media: A History and Theory Reader (Routledge, 2005). She has been a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard and a Wriston Fellow at Brown. AY 2006-2007, she was a visiting scholar and visiting associate professor in the History of Science Department at Harvard forx. She is currently working on a monograph entitled _Programmed Visions: Software, DNA, Race_ (forthcoming MIT, 2008).

Co-Creative Director and site designer for Vectors through the Difference issue (5), Raegan Kelly has worked as an interactive designer, programmer, cinematographer, and screen printer for the last 15 years. Raegan is leaving to focus her creative energies on a solo venture in innovative, functional and non- toxic material design. She has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Film from CalArts.
