Entire panoramic worlds were created for the construction of Imaginary Evidence.

Those worlds evolved from the visual language created for the company’s other interactive works (Frozen Palaces, Nightwalks, Spin and elements of Void Spaces).*

Much like the theatrical work of Forced Entertainment, where the wedding dress or pantomime costume emerges in varying forms with different language from one show to the next, the visual language of Imaginary Evidence also evolved the interactive and photographic works that came before.

Early versions saw the inclusion and exclusion of those literal panoramic devices.

Early versions saw the creation of a system of accumulation.
Those were the early versions.
There were many.

*Note about Frozen Palaces, Nightwalks, Spin and Void Spaces:
Between 1995 and 2000, Forced Entertainment created a series of interactive pieces, (Frozen Palaces, Nightwalks and Spin) employing photographic virtual reality (QTVR). These works evolved from one to another and, though produced individually, were shown together at the 2000 exhibition, "Void Spaces", at the Site Gallery in Sheffield. There are many similarities between those works that were initially visible in the exhibition catalogue. Information about each of these works (including the exhibition catalogue) is available from the Forced Entertainment website (www.forcedentertainment.com).
