Forums Home : The RED Project : Using The RED Project to plan/debate muni Wi-Fi networks   view project   project page
I just presented this project at the 35th Research Conference on Communication, Information, and Internet Policy. Many of the comments made at the conference pointed out the potential value of this project for people wishing to build or make policy arguments about municipal Wi-Fi networks.

For instance, if a municipality were interested in identifying the areas unlikely to be served by commercial diffusion of wi-fi networks, the RED Project already provides these predictions for every city in the United States.

If you are using the RED project in this way (or you are considering it) I'd love to hear what you are up to. It would also be useful to know if there are features that would help you in your task.
