This simulation presents various visualizations of the optical field of a visual agnosiac, although it is most likely impossible to actually get any real sense of the agnosiac's experience. For most of us, our visual system automatically constructs objects out of even the smallest hints in the visual field. This happens even when viewing a very nearly abstract image. By contrast, the visual agnosiac is completely unable to construct objects out of the raw sense impressions that they receive, no matter how detailed and accurate these impressions are. In some way, their eyes take in the same visual data that we do; but they are unable to parse that data to into objects.
